Ceanothus 'Remote Blue' - Hybrid Ceanothus

Description

A volunteer hybrid from Las Pilitas, which they think is a cross between C. oliganthus var. soriedatus and C. thyrsiflorus var. griseus... or maybe C. leucodermis?  Very pretty dark green foliage makes a nice backdrop for big light blue flowers.  Leaves are a lovely round elliptical shape- satisfying symmetry for the brain.  Plant grows about 7' x 7' with some variability based on cultural factors.  Seems to be very drought tolerant once established as well as tolerant of some garden water.  Also tolerant of heavy clay soils.  I would guess not deer resistant.
