Rhamnus californica 'Olema' - Coffeeberry

Description

A really pretty dense selection of Coffeeberry with bright green foliage and red stems.  Selection made by Cal Flora Nursery from Olema (near Pt. Reyes).  Grows to about 12' x 12' - an excellent screen plant, though Rhamnus are not known for being fast growers... when it does fill in you'll be glad and the birds will be too.  Expect it to reach terminate height in roughly 4-5 years.  Larval food source for Pale Swallowtail butterflies, Grey Hairstreaks, and Ceanothus Silk Moth.
