Description
This is a gorgeous Dudleya, the provenance of which is unknown to me, but we've had a few stock plants in the nursery for many years. Leaves are finger-like and silvery grey with tips turning a burnished red with sun exposure. Flowers are little yellow clusters atop long pinky-red stalks. Stalks often become tall enough to keel over, creating an attractive arch- a dynamic visual! Foliage is similar to the likes of D. edulis, D. greenei, or D. hassei, but Dudleya love to cross-pollinate (whether or not you want them to) so if this is a seedling collected from someone's garden, we can assume it may not be true to any species. I've grown these in pots on my patio, completely neglected, and they are happy as clams. It's a good performer in the garden, given decent drainage, tolerates part sun and full sun. Would do just fine around the drip line of an Oak.
