Description
A volunteer hybrid between Heuchera pilosissima and H. sanguinea from the garden of Lillian Henningsen. This evergreen perennial is a great addition to any dry shady garden. Full sun is tolerated on the coast. A mounding clump of verdant green basal foliage reaches about 1' high by 2' wide and is topped in spring by stalks of tiny pink flowers which will reach about 2' high. Bumble bees seem to love Heuchera in my garden, even if the slender stems bow under their weight. When we have this in the nursery the hummingbirds really fight over it, and get mad at me when I walk anywhere near. A great option for planting under oaks- or just for anyone who loves the color pink!
