Ceanothus 'Antonette' - Wild Lilac

Description

Possible volunteer cross between Ceanothus arboreus and Ceanothus ‘Cynthia Postan’ introduced by Native Sons.  Beautiful medium blue flower clusters sit atop broad deep green leaves on this attractive evergreen shrub.  Grows between 8'-10' high and 6'-8' wide, call it a large shrub or a small tree.  You could use this as a focal point or background plant, would be a great screen along a fence, though not incredibly fast growing.  Bees will go crazy for this no doubt- great cover for birds and possible caterpillar fodder.
