Description

A lovely blue-grey selection of our common rush originating from Carman's Nursery- formerly in Saratoga, now in Gilroy.  Juncus patens likes water, but doesn't need it and will spread to form a clump.  Can be overly vigorous when given plentiful irrigation (depending on your idea of how much is too much).  Great in a modern planting if you want clean lines and low maintenance- also would be great in a dry stream bed or around a water feature.  This is a perfect plant for a bioswale or meadow garden- pair with sedges, grasses, yarrow, and iris.  Also looks great with some Fragaria vesca or Satureja douglasii underplanted.
