Ribes sanguineum glutinosum var. 'Heart's Delight' - Pink Flowering Currant

Description

This stunning selection of the pink flowering currant is native to Marin County.  Many pendents of deep pink flowers adorn this deciduous shrub in late winter, providing nectar for the hummingbirds and pollen for many bee species.  Perfect plant for a mild area with not too much sun.  Water is appreciated, but not totally necessary.  Flowers are followed by glaucus blue(ish) berries, which the birds appreciate.
