Description
Mimulus bifidus is an old classification- this probably keys out to Diplacus grandiflorus now but Monkeyflower is a name we can all agree on! The common name of Diplacus grandiflorus is the Azalea-Flowered Monkeyflower, and you can see why, with big ruffley flowers which adorn this evergreen perennial from Spring into Summer. This species can present aywhere from apricot to white- this is a white selection donning cream colored flowers with a yellow throat, giving them a "lit from within" glow. Truly stunning selection, and more vigorous than the majority of hybrids. Deadheading and some Summer water will keep your plant blooming longer. Cut back as far as you like when it starts to look crispy at the end of the year. It will come back just as beautiful when the rain starts.
