Vitis vinifera 'Purpurea' - European Purpleleaf Grape

Description

This non-native grape vine adds an elegant splash of purple to a trellis or arbor. Leaves begin to develop mottled purple and red tones early in the summer. Grapes are edible, a sweet treat with a tart skin. Requires some summer water to be at its best. Vine will grow to approximately thirty feet with time, with the most vigorous grow time being the spring. Winter deciduous, feel free to prune it as much as you wish for shape at this time.
