Ceanothus cuneatus 'Excellent Form' - Buckbrush

Description

Ceanothus cuneatus 'Excellent Form' is a selection of our locally native Buckbrush shrub which is well adapted for the dry garden. The species normally grows pretty large, but this is a compact form at roughly 4' x 4'.  Flowers are a delicate pale powder-blue as opposed to the more common pure white of the species. They are gently fragrant and a delight for bees and butterflies. Preferring full sun and well drained soil, it is fully drought tolerant once established. If you desire a shrub with more compact limbs, prune for shape each summer. Buckbrush are deer and gopher resistant as well!  I think this may be a Suncrest selection, but not sure- a truly excellent form!
