Epilobium canum 'Schieffelin's Choice' - California Fuchsia

Epilobium 'Schieffelin's Choice' is a very low (< 6"), spreading California Fuchsia. Gorgeous, red/orange trumpet shaped flowers are the delight of bees and hummingbirds in the fall. This plant goes dormant in the winter, and prefers to be cut back down to your mulch line and grow back anew from the expanding root base. Due to its late season blooming schedule, a early-Summer haircut will keep it looking cleaner.
