Description

A rare and gorgeous shrubby Manzanita endemic to Santa Cruz County in the mountains between Big Sur and Bonny Doon.  Reaches about 6' in height by 8' wide.  Foliage is a stunning silvery grey-green and is felty with little glandular hairs all over giving a frosty appearance.  Little white-pale pink flowers come out March-April on darker pink pedicels and stems.  More sun exposure=more red pigment in Manzanitas that have it.  Little orangey fruits show up after flowering and even they are a bit felty.
