Lessingia filaginifolia 'Smart Aster' - Beach Aster

Description

Normally a low, spreading plant, this selection of Aster has an upright habit, growing to around 3 by 3 feet. Gray foliage is topped with small pale purple flowers in summer and fall, excellent for butterflies. Cut back hard at the beginning of winter for a compact plant the next year.
