Calystegia purpurata - Pacific Morning Glory

Description

A lush green perennial vine native to the Coastal Scrub and Chaparral of the Bay Area.  Trumpet-shaped flowers are pale pink to white, and foliage is a deep green.  The leaves are a hastate shape, sometimes reniform.  It will climb clumsily up a fence or wall and trail over the other side, or just form a mat if it has nothing to climb on.
