Acnatherum occidentalis - California Needlegrass

Description

This small native grass is adorned with golden spikes of flowers in summer and fall. Its striking flowers and small size make it a great species to plant a small drift of, combining with flowering perennials for spring color. California needlegrass takes sun or light shade, and occasional water to complete drought.
