Description

An exceptionally large form of our native Leopard Lily, selected from Northern California. Like the species, it appreciates moist, not soggy soil with plenty of humus, and dappled light. It will take sun as long as the base of the plant is shaded by a smaller plant. Winter dormant, vigorous green shoots appear in early spring, rising to 6 feet by summer, when they are adorned with dozens of stunning orange blossoms speckled with brown. A hummingbird favorite. Also makes an excellent cut flower. Truly one of our most spectacular native perennials.
