Description

This species of Checker Bloom is native from the region of the Oregon-California border north into Washington. Its foliage remains a low mound while the springtime flower stalks rise up to three to four feet. A wonderful addition to a meadow garden or a perennial border that receives at least occasional water, the Alpine Checkerbloom combines well with other perennials such as Yarrow, Scarlet Lobelia, and Blue Flax. Clay tolerant.
