Tolmeia menziesii 'Taff's Gold' - Variegated Piggy-Back Plant

One of the few variegated native plants out there, this Tolmeia selection will enliven the shade garden with its mottled bright yellow and green foliage. Piggy-Back Plant is so named for its habit of producing baby plants where the leaves meet the stems. Easily grown in soil or water on a window sill from these offsets, this is one of the best plants for introducing children to the wonders of starting their own plants. Tolmeia thrives in light to dense shade, likes regular water, and makes a great hanging basket specimen. Inconspicuous flowers appear in spring.
