Arctostaphylos rudis 'Vandenberg' - Shaggy-Barked Manzanita

Description

Selected from Vandenburg Air Force Base in Southern California, this Manzanita will reach 5 to 7 feet tall and spread up to 10 feet wide, though it can be kept narrower. Its dense habit makes it ideal as a screen or as an element in an informal, drought tolerant hedge. Alternately, the lower branches can be pruned away to showcase the sculptural branches.
