Description

This deciduous shrub is found in canyons and along streams in the forests of our north coast, including the Bay Area. It grows to about 10 by 10 feet, with an open habit resembling Red Twig Dogwood. Not particularly showy flowers are followed by a brilliant orange fruit which is striking in the shade. Provide shade if planting away from the coast, and regular water. A good combination with Dogwood, Wax Myrtle, and Currants.
