Description

Bush Poppy is wide ranging in California, growing in hot, dry chaparral communities. Its habit is open, the stems arching. Grey-green lance-shaped leaves contrast beautifully with the bright yellow flowers. Deadhead as flowers finish to promote a long blooming season. A fast grower requiring good drainage and little to no water once established. Cut back by at least half in fall for a denser, more attractive plant the next year.
