Description

This perennial Lupine ranges along the north and central coasts of California, growing on coastal terraces and beaches. It is one of the three perennial Lupines that serve as a larval food source for the Mission Blue butterfly. The silver-gray foliage contrasts nicely with the blue-purple flowers. This plant is low growing, a good choice for a rock garden. Give it full sun and a well-drained soil.
