Description

This perennial member of the Sunflower family will be found growing on the north and central coasts on dunes and headlands. This is a good choice for coastal gardens. The yellow flowers which bloom in summer are a source of pollen and nectar for many benefical insects and can be used as a cut flower. In combination with Erigeron, Iris, Lupine and Armeria it can be an attractive component of a perennial border. In your garden provide a sunny site and occasional water during the dry months.
