Ceanothus leucodermis - Chaparral Whitethorn

Description

Ceanothus leucodermis is found through out California on dry rocky slopes below 5400'. The pale blue to white flowers grace this twelve foot shrub in early spring. The pale geen to whitish branches are armed with rather stout thorns. This shrub makes an excellent informal barrier for full sun and dry conditions.
