Sisyrinchium macountii album var. - Blue Eyed Grass

Description

NOTE: NOT A CALIFORNIA NATIVE. This native of British Columbia is very similar to the California native Blue Eyed-Grass (Sisyrinchium bellum). This form is white. It more closely resembles the dwarf forms of Sisyrinchium bellum than the species in that it is low growing. It is not as drought tolerant as the California forms, but on the other hand, can take more regular garden irrigation. Like the California native form, it can take full sun to partial shade and appreciates a well-draining, nutrient rich soil.
