Sisyrinchium bellum 'Merk's White' - Blue(white)- Eyed Grass

Description

This cultivar of Sisyrinchium bellum was selected near Suncrest Nursery for its white flowers. A member of the Iris family, it is found growing in open, moist, grassy areas and woodlands at elevations below 7000 feet. It grows to about 1 foot in height with a tufted habit. It looks at home in a meadow growing with native bunch grasses and annual wildflowers. A spring bloomer, its season can be extended with additional water, but do consider that it is drought tolerant. In your garden use it in a rock garden, container or perennial border.
