Description

This perennial member of the Lily family is valued mostly for its handsome upright ferny foliage. The stems can reach 2 feet or more in height and are graced with needlelike deep green leaves, giving the plant an airy look. It is a good choice for a container. Place it in part shade, full sun on the coast. The foliage will turn yellow in dense shade. Its fleshy roots are able to store water giving it a degree of drought tolerance, although the plants will grow best with ample water.
