Description

This member of the Liliaceae family is uncommon. It occurs in the Northern Coast ranges as well as the Central and South Western regions of California. Its habitats are grassy skopes, mesas and serpentine barrens at elevations below 400 feet. The flowers are nodding and dark brown with a touch of greenish purple or yellowish green. The nectary is prominent. In your garden choose a site that will provide no summer water.
