Ceanothus velutinus - Varnishleaf Ceanothus

Description

This Ceanothus will be found locally near the coast growing on open, wooded slopes. The large glossy leaves with a sweet scent during the warm months are what make this Ceanothus special. The white flowers are arranged in large panicles and bloom in midspring to midsummer. In your garden use is as a specimen or as a hedge. It can tolerate heat, drought and cold.
