Description

This perennial Plantain can be found locally on Coastal bluffs and in wer and saline places at elevations under 150m. Its long taproot recommends it for erosion control purposes. The foliage is arranged in a basal rosette, the pronounced veination is striking. In the summer months the flowering spike emerges. It produces abundant seeds that feed the birds. In your garden give it a sunny site in a well-drained soil.
