Description
This wide ranging giant perennial Sunflower can be found growing in dry rocky soils, along streambanks or in marshes. The flower heads are born in profusion with both ray and disc flowers of a yellow color. It forms a starchy rhizome which increases in size with each passing year. Plant it for the birds and for your own enjoyment. A fantastic option for a rocky slope where erosion control is a priority. Optional summer water will encourage prolific blooming.
