Description

This annual belongs to the chaparral and coastal-sage scrub communities of the southern central coast, the Channel Islands, the western Transverse ranges, and San Gabriel Mountains. It grows in open areas after burns, often in sandy soils. The bell-shaped flowers are violet-blue, the leaf handsome with an scalloped edge. In your garden provide a sunny site and a well-drained soil.
