Heuchera pilosissima - Shaggy Alumroot

Description

This is a compact Alumroot, found locally in the hills near the coast of San Mateo County, on Montara Mountain and near Pebble Beach. You will find it on rocky bluffs, The panicles are short and stocky. The individual flowers are large and the whole inflorescence covered with attractive, shaggy, white hairs. A good choice for a woodland garden or shaded rock garden.
