Gymnocarpium dryopteris - Common Oak Fern

Description

This deciduous boreal fern is found in moist places in northern parts of North America, and Eurasia. It will be cold hardy in California gardens. It's small size and creeping rhizome make it an appropiate choice for a groundcover in a moist shady situation. When in a container, it also prefers its soil MOIST.
