Asplenium antiquum - Spleenwort

Description

A native of Japan and a fairly cold hardy fern, the fronds of which form a loose rosette. Aspleniums like their soil MOIST during the warm growing months but are best kept on the dry side during winter. Aspleniums generally like well lit conditions but must be protected from excessive hot sun. Morning sun is ideal. High humidity and good air circulation are also important. A well-drained organic soil and organic mulches are beneficial.
