Didymochlaena truncatula - Tree Maidenhair Fern

Description

A widely distributed fern, found in South America, Africa, India and Malaysia. It is prized for its lustrous green fronds which have a graceful symmetry. When young they are often tinted bright rosey pink or red. Old plants develop a short, thick trunk. This fern makes an attractive container specimen and performs very well indoors. In the ground it likes a shady situation and appreciates regular watering, mulching and dressings of organic fertilizers. MOIST.
