Asplenium nidus - Birdsnest Fern

Description

A very widely distributed fern that commonly colonizes trees, rock faces and boulders in tropical jungles. It is a spectacular fern, popular for its neat rosette of spreading fronds. Readily grown in containers or among rocks in the garden, but needs warm humid conditions. Pantropical and rather variable, different forms of fronds are known.
