Phyllitis scolopendrium - Hart's-tongue Fern

Description

A widely distributed evergreen fern, this species is found in Europe, Asia and North America. A very easy fern to grow, it is also widely distributed in gardens. Plants are susceptible to root rot, so avoid overwatering and provide good drainage. It appreciates light to medium shade and regular water, and will reach about 18 by 18 inches. Gently crushed leaves can be used on burns.
