Description
Another cross between S. sonomensis and S. mellifera, this one came from the Santa Barbara Botanical Garden. It spreads its wonderful grey-green oblong leaves along the ground to about 4', rising no higher than 1'. It closely resembles Creeping Sage, with its lovely blue-violet flowers, but does not seem to have the same tendency to die back in the center. It makes a tough reliable groundcover for sun or light shade, with only occasional water. Grows well in the Bay Area.
