Description

The Ocellated Lily is found in Yellow-pine forests and openings, and oak canyons in the Outer South Coast Ranges. The flower is similiar in coloring to the Tiger Lily. It has startling golden-yellow petals with red spots. The flower stems grow to eight feet and a single plant is known to have up to fifty buds at once! Expect buds to open July through September. Plant in a dry and mostly shady area.
