Description

This is a lovely currant native to the south coast ranges north to the San Luis Obispo area. It is a deciduous shrub that will grow to 6' high and has showy white flowers from January to March. Drought tolerant once established, it prefers full sun and little to no water, but will take occasional water if the drainage is good. White-flowered currant is a wonderful plant for birds and some butterflies. It offers early flowers for hummers and berries later in the year for other birds as well.
