Pteris cretica 'Rivertoniana' - Cretan Brake Fern

Description

Native to Africa, Southern Europe and Asia. A wide spread species which easily naturalizes itself. The fronds are dimorphic with the fertile ones having thinner segments that are erect. Grows well in the ground or in a pot. Likes lime in the soil. This vigorous fern has irregularly lobed fronds and gets between 16 and 28 inches tall. It is adaptable and needs part shade.
