Polystichum proliferum - Mother Shield Fern

Description

Native to Australia. This shield fern grows in colonies with the frond tips developing plantlets near the ends. These plantlets take root while still attached. Plants grow easily in shady situations indoors or out reaching as much as forty feet in hieght. Likes plenty of water during the active growth in spring and summer, less in the winter months. Always needs good drainage.
