Linanthus nuttallii - Wild Phlox

Description

A perennial related to garden Phlox. Most of our Linanthus are annuals, but this one lives over, and may reseed a bit. Low and spreading, covered with masses of dainty white flowers all summer. Native to gravelly, dry places in the high deserts and eastern Sierras. It takes drought, heat and cold, but needs fairly good drainage.
