Ceanothus roderickii - Pine Hill Ceanothus

Description

This flat groundcover ceanothus is rare in nature. It is found in one area of the San Joaquin Foothills. It is not a vigorous grower but tolerates full sun in hot areas better than other prostrate plants. Also tolerates cold and regular water. Roots at nodes, forming mats up to 10 ft. wide. Evergreen, it has a white flower tinged with blue. Unique, unlike any other Ceanothus.
