Description

This selection of the Maritime Ceanothus is a taller, dark-flowered form from the UCBerkeley Botanic Garden. This low spreading shrub grows to 3'high and 8'wide. It flowers in early spring, Jan-March, with a lavender-blue blossom. Native to coastal bluffs in San Luis Obispo Co. Grow in full sun on the coast or give filtered afternoon shade inland. Will tolerate clay soils. Drought tolerant.
