Adiantum formosum - Australian Maidenhair

Description

This beautiful maidenhair will grow from 2 - 4' high. The fronds, broadly triangular in outline, are borne at spaced intervals along its underground rhizomes. Its rhizomes are long and creeping, and can form extensive colonies. Plants like acid, organically rich loam in a shady moist situation. One authority claims it is cold hardy, but it is a subtropical native, where freezing temperatures are very rare. When in a pot, keep its soil MOIST.
