Description

Ceanothus foliosus is native to dry slopes below 5000' in Chaparral, Yellow Pine , Mixed Ever-green and the edges of Redwood Forest in the coast ranges from Humboldt to Santa Cruz Counties, and in a separate community in the mountains of San Diego county. It has a mounding habit, growing 2 to 3' in height and spreading 4 to 6'. In spring it is graced with clusters of brillant blue flowers. In your garden provide a well-drained site in full sun and once established, do not irrigate during the warm summer months.
