Description

This is a beautiful selection of the Chaparral Currant that no hummingbird garden should be without. This 6 by 6 foot summer deciduous shrub has gorgeous dangling clusters of deep pink flowers from January to April, followed by clusters of currants that provide a summer snack for birds. It prefers full sun to light shade and occasional water. In a hot dry spot, it will drop its leaves in midsummer; here at the nursery, and on the coast, its leaves persist into early fall.
