Juncus sp - Common Rush

Description

A tall, bold perennial, which makes a strong accent plant in the garden. Although we think of Rushes as water-loving plants, many, such as this one, can get by with normal garden watering or with only occasional watering. Since the flowers are not colorful, this is grown for its foliage. Takes sun or light shade, and is especially lovely planted next to a pond or seasonal creek bed.
